How to buy an item?

In order to buy a product from VOUTIQUE. The first thing you will have to do is REGISTER. You will be prompted to do this when you click the BUY NOW button anyway.

To buy something, simply find the item that you would like, click BUY NOW and the item gets automatically added to the shopping cart.  The shopping cart is displayed on the top hand right of the screen at all times and you can view your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the link.
Items will stay in your basket until you remove them, or until you either checkout or end your VOUTIQUE session by logging out. Please note that adding an item to your basket does not remove it from sale, so if you leave it in your basket for too long without checking out there’s a chance that someone else could snap it up.

Can I buy something from more than one seller?
Yes, you can add items to your shopping cart from several different vintage traders. When you get to the shopping cart you will be asked to confirm your total order and then to you need to press the PAY NOW button. This will take you straight to a paypal payment page. Here you can pay for ALL your different items in ONE place, in ONE transaction. We will then do the clever part of distributing the money to directly to each individual seller for you.

Postage
The postage charges are calculated automatically. They are calculated on the weight of each item and where it is sent to. Most items are delivered by a courier and can take up to 5 days. However you can select the express shipping in the shopping cart if you would like an items sooner. The postage costs for any order will show up in your shopping cart before you check out so you can see how much they cost in total. If you buy more than one item from one shop, the shipping will be calculated combined, so you are paying twice.

Paypal
All payments are processed via Paypal. The easiest way to pay for an item is therefore to use a Paypal account. If you don’t already have a Paypal account it’s easy to set one up.


Credit and debit cards

If you don’t want to register with Paypal you can use a still use a credit or debit card on the Paypal site to pay for the item. It will give you the option on the page.
At the Paypal log in screen look for the link on the bottom left that says "Don’t have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available).

  • click ‘Continue’
  • fill our your credit/debit card and address details
  • click ‘Review order and continue’
  • click ‘Continue without logging in’
  • review your payment and select ‘Pay now’

Other payment methods

Some of our sellers will also accept other payment methods such as cash, cheque or postal order. To find out if they do please contact the seller before you commit to buy the item. If the seller is happy to accept another payment method please order through VOUTIQUE as usual (go through the order process to the ‘Order complete’ page) but do not proceed to Paypal when the sale has been completed. We can mark the order as paid when the seller lets us know that payment has been received.

Store only items

We have listed some items as “STORE ONLY”. The reason for this is that sometimes the seller does not wish to sell the items online but would like the users of this site to be aware of the items they have for sale at their store anyway. The idea is, you can see what they have and if you are able to go down to the store personally you view and try the item on. If there is an item you have seen on this website and you do not have the opportunity to go and see them but would still definitely like to purchase, the seller is happy for you to contact them and arrange something suitable and convenient for you both. Please therefore always contact the sellers directly if there is something you would really like.
Please also contact us at support@voutique.co.uk if for any reason you don’t hear back from the sellers. We will be happy to liaise with both parties to try and make it happen! We know what it is like to see something that you really want and just have to have it!

Contacting a seller

You can contact the store owner by going to the store profile page of the seller of the item you are interested. You can do that by looking at the link above the item name and that will lead you back to the store profile page. You can also do it by clicking STORES from the main menu at the top of the page and searching for the name of the seller. The sellers name is always directly under the title of the item. You can contact them using the contact info on the page. This can be either the email or telephone number.
If you have any problems contacting the seller please let us know immediately. support@voutique.co.uk. Please bear in mind if you are contacting them via email, some of them will not have internet or computers in their actual store so they might receive your email later on in the day. If it is urgent, we suggest that you contact VOUTIQUE directly on support@voutique.co.uk

How to cancel an order?

VOUTIQUE is a platform for vintage traders to sell their items to customers - the transaction is between you and that seller, and all payments and refunds are processed via Paypal. 
If you need to cancel an order or to request a refund or replacement, please contact the seller directly in the first instance. The contact information can be found on their shop profile page.
If you have not heard from the seller within a 48hrs or if you need further assistance, please open contact us at support@voutique.co.uk and we will do our very best to help you with the issue.

I have ordered something by mistake?

If you ordered something by mistake please contact the seller as soon as you can to let them know. They can organise a refund or simply cancel the order if it has not been paid for.
If you have not heard from the seller within a 48hrs or if you need further assistance, please open contact us at support@voutique.co.uk and we will do our very best to help you with the issue.

Reviews/Feedback

Feedback is very important for our sellers and useful for other buyers, so please let them know what you thought of your purchase.
To leave feedback, please go to the shop profile where you purchased the item and at the bottom of their shop profile page you can leave your feedback there.
If, for any reason, you have been unhappy with your purchase please contact the seller first rather than leaving negative feedback. They should be able to sort out a refund or a replacement for you. If you have any trouble organising a refund or replacement with your seller, please contact the VOUTIQUE team and we will do our very best to try and resolve the situation.

Why can't I leave feedback for a store?

Feedback is not available for buyer or seller if you have not purchased anything from that store. You can only leave feedback/reviews for stores you have purchased from.


Changing feedback

Occasionally people leave the wrong feedback by mistake, or change their mind after they have left it. We will only change the feedback that someone has left with their agreement.
In the event of a mistake or dispute please contact us at support@voutique.co.uk and we will do everything that we can to resolve a situation.

I have a question about an item I would like to purchase?

If you have a question about an item on the site please contact the seller directly via the store profile page.


When will I receive my item?

We ask sellers to ship items within 3 days unless this is not possible (for example, custom orders which may take longer). When your item has been posted your seller should email you to let you know.

If you haven’t received your item after 5 days please contact the seller. If, after 7 days, you haven’t received your item or heard from the seller please contact us at support@voutique.co.uk and we can try to track the item for you.


How do I get a refund for a purchase?

In the rare event of a shop not delivering the goods you should claim for a refund via Paypal. For more information see the Paypal help page on Claims and disputesPlease note that disputes can only be opened within 45 days of the date of payment. Please make sure you report the seller to Folksy too, so we can take action.
